John D. Nelson received his J.D. from Golden Gate University and was admitted as a California attorney in 1976. He has practiced law continuously since then in Federal and California courts, as well as the United States Tax Court. His practice has included Domestic and International contract law, civil litigation, corporate and general business practice and litigation, estate planning, real estate law, construction law, and transportation law over four decades of practice. He started practice in San Francisco, but has had his office in San Mateo, California since 1981. He is licensed to practice before various Federal District Courts, all State Courts in California, the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to becoming an attorney he served honorably 4 years in the USAF [1960-1964] on an aerial survey team in South America, Guam and the South Pacific, worked in heavy construction, did sales management, performed industrial engineering services for Bucyrus Erie in So. Milwaukie Wis., and as a personnel management specialist for the USAF at Norton AFB in San Bernardino, CA.
