Civil Litigation
Mr. Nelson has handled litigation in the following areas over his career as an attorney. Personal Injury, Landlord-Tenant , Construction Law, Trust Litigation, Taxation, Contract Matters, Transportation Law, Real Estate Law and International Contract Litigation through the International Chamber of Commerce.
Estate Planning
Mr. Nelson has actively engaged in a wide range of Estate Planning, utilizing Disclaimer Trusts, Wills and the preparation of various associated materials like Powers of Attorney and related documents for some 40 years.
Probate and Trusts
Mr. Nelson has handled both Court Probate matters and the administration of trusts by and for beneficiaries through final distribution through and outside Court for four decades.
Mr. Nelson has been a licensed California Real Estate Broker and has handled sales transactions for both buyers and sellers. While, no longer an active broker, he is available to oversee transactions on behalf of either party to a purchase or sale, and can memorialize a transaction for both parties when it is a direct sale with the terms agreed -- including preparation of sales agreements for the transaction and all necessary disclosure agreements and working with the escrow and title company. He has also handled litigation regarding broker duties and easements. Also prepared and reviewed many commercial real estate agreements, as well.
Real Estate Transactions
Mr. Nelson has handled business formation for 40 years, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and sole proprietorships. He is also available to furnish ongoing advice as to the operation of the businesses, drafting personnel policy manuals and guides, employment documents, and has handled employment complaints before various governmental agencies including the NLRB. Has also negotiated with Unions for clients and rendered tax advice.
Business Formations and Transactions
Mr. Nelson has prepare business, fiduciary, exempt organization and individual returns for 40 years, and is available for selected clients.
Taxation and Tax Appeals Matters
Mr. Nelson has handled all types of contracts, domestic and international for 40 years.
